DR David Boadle, BMedSc, MB BS, MHA, FRACP

Dr David Boadle graduated in Medicine from the University of Tasmania in 1980 and, following specialty training in Tasmanian and interstate hospitals, practised as a consultant physician specialising in Medical Oncology and Palliative Care in the north and north-west of Tasmania from 1988 until 2000.

In addition to his clinical role, Dr Boadle was the inaugural Medical Director of the Hospice in Launceston, and from 1993 until 2000, served as the Director of Medical Services at St. Vincent's Hospital Launceston.

Dr Boadle was the Deputy Chief Executive (Clinical) of The Canberra Hospital from 2000 to 2002, prior to his appointment in 2002 as the Chief Medical Officer in the Department of Health and Human Services in Tasmania.

In 2009, Dr Boadle returned to clinical practice as a Senior Staff Specialist in Medical Oncology at the Royal Hobart Hospital, where he has clinical, teaching and research responsibilities. He was the Convenor of the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Medical Oncology Group of Australia in Hobart in 2015.

Dr Boadle is a member of the Australian and New Zealand Breast Cancer Trials Group (ANZBCTG) and one of the Principal Investigators for breast cancer research at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
